In Memory Of My Cat "Prince"

This is a picture of my cat, Prince, who had to be put asleep on account of a rare form of cancer in his mouth. We, my wife and I, cared for our Prince until the time came when food and water could no longer be fed to him. He was my special pet. Even after a little over 3 years since he died on September 9, 1997, I still miss him very much. His 2 brothers are still with us. They will be 17 in February, 2001. Death of our loved ones, including our pets, is the sad result of sin. The first animal(s) was(were) killed to provide clothing to Adam and Eve after they sinned. Everything changed, including the animals. I will be so happy when sin, death and sorrow will be no more, and our pets will live along with us forever. I also pray that our pets will have a special resurrection and be reunited with us to live with us forever. What about you. Do you have a special pet to share with us in this forum? __________________________ In His Love, Mercy & Grace Daryl [This message has been edited by Daryl Fawcett (edited November 20, 2000).]

Daryl I wish I could find hope for you, but I can not find evidence that animals are ever resurrected. I am sorry, Prince was a beautiful looking cat. However God, Who could have given Adam a new wife & raised Isaac from the dead as Abraham conjectured, will not leave you comfortless in this matter. He can give you a new "Prince" a new cat to name & love, that is living in New Jerusalem now. There will be plenty of room in a perfect world and time without end. Ecclesiastes 3: 18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? Perhaps this "Prince" could be a snow tiger/leopard of antediluvian size. Bigggg loving affectionate kitty. DEEEEEPP singsong humming PURR & rough tongue, definitely no sharpening the claws on the furniture . A cat that eats plant materials. Perhaps no sharp claws/teeth needed? ------------------ Edward F Sutton [This message has been edited by Edward F Sutton (edited November 21, 2000).] [This message has been edited by Cathy Sears (edited November 21, 2000).]

That doesn't mean that He is unable to do it. He will have surprises for us that may include this one. __________________________ In His Love, Mercy & Grace Daryl

Here's my carefully though-out theological (although maybe not Biblical--but then again, casting lots is Biblical, but a bad idea, nonetheless) answer: God trancends time. He can surely go back, "fetch" Prince and bring him to Daryl. They will surely recognize each other. I'm sure that Prince will thrive in the environment of the New Earth. Unfortunately there's no hope for people like me who had dogs for pets. Ephesians 5:27 makes it quite clear that the "Bride" that inherits the New Jerusalem (saved ones) shall be "Without Spot." ------------------ As the Happy Moments Roll, Pastor Andrew

Hi Can I ask a question? How in the world can one person, like Ed, edit a message and then Cathy edits the same message? You mean someone else can go around editing our messages?

Thanks Linda and Daryl.. I was just worried that someone could come along and change what you said so that what you really said wasnt something you really said LOL anyway Id like to share a story about my kitty, Maggie Mae. She just came wandering up to our house one night. I got to where I loved her very much and she was my favorite kitty. Then one day Maggie Mae got really sick. The doctor said she would die for sure and that it was probably caused by someone having poisoned her some time in the past when you used to be an "outside kitty," before she came to live with us. So anyway she wouldnt eat anymore or drink. She was withering away to nothing, skin and bones, she looked like "death". I started praying about Maggie Mae and then I remembered Ellen White talking about the use of charcoal. I got some powdered charcoal and some baby food, meat... I started forcing her to eat it by the spoonful, a certain amount each day, mixed with the charcoal. And feeding her water with an eye dropper. She suddenly got better and better and was perfectly healed. The Vet couldnt believe it. She went back then to being like she always had been, a trouble-making kitty who liked to cause havoc and run around the house acting silly. Her nick name is "Maggie Mahem" (instead of her real name, Maggie Mae) because she likes to start trouble and mahem wherever she goes LOL! Im happy God helped me make Maggie all better. Claudia

Claudia, When I get a chance, I will try and remember to tell you about Prince's brother, Silver, who is still with us. Your story reminded me of it. __________________________ In His Love, Mercy & Grace Daryl
