Americans consume $2 BILLION worth of candy. Americans spend $1.5 BILLION on costumes.
And walking around town, oh boy. Horrid looking people, trying to be as evil as possible. Can't wait for it all to be over.

A lot of witchcraft and rituals will be occurring tonight since it is their 'black sabbath'. I will be doing a lot of praying and studying The Word of God. Take care Jason.
God Bless, Will

How can a "Christian" family send their kids out to "get candy" from door to door? Our small city of 100,000+ saw a very quiet night! except for "cream of mushroom soup" that was thrown on our van as my wife was driving. She did not see anyone, maybe it fell from the sky? LOL Anyway, last night we had a few families attend a "vespers" event at our church. We watched an Oddyssey (sp) video, had pizza and were all off to our homes by 8:30. We began our supper together at 5:30 so our kids did not have to wittness the freaked out images on Holloween this year, except for the marketing garbage at the stores leading up to this event. At a Canadian tire yesterday I had a sales lady "wish" me a "Happy Holloween", my response was " I don't think so" "I do not entertain Holloween". It seems that the department stores begin the selling of evil earlier each year, actually that is a cool idea for a new thread. "The toys of our mainstream department stores" I often complain to the management of some of our larger stores like Zellers, where they sell Oija boards in the childrens toy dept.

And what about Christmas? It's origins are even more hideous than Halloween. And yet we celebrate it along with the rest of the world's heathens! Why? I am happy the Catholic Church converted Christmas into a happy holiday. It's a whole lot better than what it used to be, eh! Oh, I'm not talking about the perversion of Christmas - greedy kids and parents screaming for more gifts, etc. But rather the celebration of Jesus' birth.
As for Halloween? Well, I'm certainly thankful for the parents and kids who dress up like angels and sweet things and who say "Thank you" and "God bless" when I give them a copy of "Steps to Christ" along with a wholesome snack. When else do people walk up to your door expecting you to give them something? It's a colporteurs dream!

It is interesting how some things seem more evil to us than others.
