All you young-uns wouldn't remember the days before space travel. The common phrase was, "God will never allow people to....fly....leave earth's atmosphere....land on the moon....etc."
Well, God has allowed all of that, including the present orbiting space station.
And now, with Mars coming so close, several nations have sent a total of 7 unmanned spacecraft to that planet. One from England and two from the U.S. will land to collect and evaluate samples.
Then by 2018, the U.S. hopes to have a space station on Mars. A trial unit will be placed on the moon before that.
So the question comes: What if a dedicated Christian were to die out there in space? What will happen to that person when Jesus comes?
I find that Jesus Himself told us the answer nearly 2,000 years ago:
quote:
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall He send His angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth TO THE UTTERMOST PART OF HEAVEN. Mark 13:26-27.
