I want to ask the prayers of all for a little baby girl born on the 17th. She has a tumor at the base of her spine about the size of a small cantaloupe. She is now in a Children's hospital, waiting for surgery Thursday AM. She almost died at birth, and is still not very strong. The family is asking for prayer from the church, that God's will may be done for this little one.
The mother needs prayer also, for she has an infection, which, so far is not under control.
The mother, and some other family members have not attended church regularly for a long while; I taught the mother and her mother when they were in kindergarden, so, they are close to my heart.
Thank you all for your prayers. I told the great-grandpa last night that people were praying from CA to Australia; now, I know there will be many more added for this intercessory prayer.

Thanks for asking, Zyph, I was waiting until we got the news today of how both are doing. The baby came through the surgery remarkably well, & seems to have all movement in arms and legs. The prognosis sounds good. It is going to take time to really tell. The Mother still has a low grade fever, but is improving. The grandma is totally convinced that it was through prayer that things were turned around. there is much power in intercessory prayer, we know. Thanking all who prayed for this family.

Things are still looking good for both the baby and the mother. I talked with the grandpa today and he feels very encouraged about it all. He said the whole family express their thanks for all the prayers, and feel that they are being answered with the life and health of this mother and child

I did pray for the little one.

In my pediatric nursing; I have seen a number of little ones survive such surgery.

They seem to do better than adults would with similar surgery.

We feel strongly that the baby might have died without prayer. Thank you so much!! The Mother is out of the hopsital now,and has gone to Louisville to be able to be with her little baby girl, while she is in the Children's Hospital, so she can talk to her, and form a bond With her. No word yet when she will be home..... but, prayer changes things!
