Please Pray For Andrew Novlesky

The following prayer request was received by email from Elder Ken Corkum, President of the Maritime Conference of the SDA Church: quote:
Andrew Novlesky, son of Richard (Our Conference Secretary/Treasurer) and Yvonne had an accident at Pugwash today. Richard Pangburn, Tod Casey, (Pastor) Pedro Graca and Andrew were working on the new pasture area setting up fencing. They had completed placing one line of wire for electric fencing and were stabilizing corners to tighten up the fence.
Andrew was asked to go and pick up a hammer at one area of the field, using the corridors. He arrived at the location and decided to take a short cut across the field and did not see the wire. The wire came over the four wheeler, hit his right shoulder and caught him in the neck, knocking him back but not off the four wheeler. He had enough presence to drive over to the men, who called 911 for help.
The ambulance took Andrew to Pugwash and on to Amherst. At Amherst it was decided to transfer him to Moncton to be checked by specialists. When I was at the hospital with Richard and Yvonne he had been in surgery for 3 1/2 hours.
The news is he came very close having the trachea collapse which would have caused inability to breath. The doctors say there is damage to the voice box. They have done a tracheotomy. He will be in the hospital for approximately one week.
The family realize how close he came to losing his life either from the wire damage or the collapse of the trachea. Yvonne and Richard accept God's blessing in sparing Andrews life but naturally are filled with emotion tonight as they experience the trauma of what happened today with their son.
Your remembering them is ....just received a call from Richard. He said the doctor said the wind pipe was severed even though there was no break of the skin on the outside.
While we rest, this family will be reaching out to God in a special way tonight.
Ken
Let us also reach out to God in a special way for Andrew and his concerned parents.

In case anybody is wondering, the trachea and the windpipe are both the same thing.
The reason why I posted this is that when I announced that Andrew's windpipe was severed, somebody corrected me by saying that it was his trachea that was severed making me wonder whether or not trachea or windpipe were the same thing.
Let us continue to remember Andrew in our prayers as well as his parents, Richard and Yvonne Novlesky.

The last I heard about a week ago was that he was up and about in a wheelchair.
He may even be home now, however, I haven't heard any more news since then.

Just an update to let you know that Andrew is able to whisper his words when speaking to somebody.
Please continue to pray for him.
