Hello all,
The place where I have been a security officer for the last 9 yrs is about to close down here in California and move to Kentucky. Hewlitt Packard wants to move everything they have to do with out of CA. They started doing this in our area about 5 -6 yrs ago and the end of our warehouses is now here. The employees have been given their 60 day notice. From what I have heard through the grapevine the doors will be closed by Nov. 30th this year.
How long they will keep us security officers there we do not know. They could end our posts there anytime. The company I am with does not have enough posts with other clients for all the officers that will lose their posts. Me included.
I have been praying for a miracle for this company to stay. Only a miracle will keep it here. Also have been praying God's will be done. My Lord knows the way through the willderness and all I have to do it follow. Amen.
God knows my situation and my job experience. I never had to work until my husband passed away 11 yrs. ago and this is the first job I have had.
I am not the only one affected by this closure. Most of the employees there are non-American workers. They are legal citizens but alot have not learned English and do not know how to do any other kind of work. Between our warehouse and the other 2 warehouses closing there will be about 350 jobs lost. For our area this is a really big number.
Please pray God's will be done in all of this. My God is so powerful He can do anything. When any of the employees bring up the subject of closing (we as officers cannot bring it up) I tell them I am still praying for a miracle. I have not met anyone yet who has not said "it is to late for a miracle". I tell them it is never to late for a miracle.
Some of the workers have found jobs and left. One worker about a month ago, 43 yr. old male, found a better paying job at another place close by. We found out Friday that this place is being torn down and the work outsourced to Brazil. Sad. We do not know how long it will be before that place will be torn down. Thats another 200 or so workers out of a job.
Heavenly Father I want to take this time to thank you for all you have done for me in my life. You have taken care of me in everything even when I did not know you. You saved my life in WA even when I was living a life of sin. I know you love me and care what happens to me. Please give me the strength to go through whatever comes because of this warehouse closing. Especially fill me with your peace and words of comfort to my co-workers who are stressing out over losing our security posts. In Jesus name I ask all these things - Amen.
