Can mercury be removed from a human body? Considering it is supposed to be fat soluble.
Galatians 2 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

I still recommend that you find a good toxicologist and get the results from one or both of two tests: an HMA (hair mineral analysis) test, or a provocative urine test for mercury. Of course, insurance companies generally don't pay for such, and consequently most doctors will not order these tests. You must find a toxicologist, and will likely pay out of pocket. If they find high levels, however, there is nothing else that will cure you better than to get the treatments to remove the toxins.
Blessings,
Green Cochoa. That is the route my wife wanted to go, so I went halfway and got on the diet to clear out toxins, and flush out my system and I have been stable for 10 years. But now with the health of my father detoriating from diabetes also, the stress seems to have set it off and I am striving to get it back under control. But all the old symptoms have come back, and this time I am not 21 and strong as an ox, more like a old mule with a lame leg..... Can mercury be removed from a human body? Considering it is supposed to be fat soluble. Mercury can be removed, but not easily. It will not flush out simply on account of a good vegetarian diet, nor even from a few added herbs, etc. Natural chelators (and they do exist) are simply not powerful enough to give an adequate response with mercury. For example, foods high in sulfur, or herbs like cilantro have been cited as acting as natural chelators. However, these will not have a significant effect in the presence of mercury. A toxicologist will help you with a carefully-planned regimen of chelation therapy along with mineral supplementation. Essentially, the chelating agent will attach to all metals, and pull out the good with the bad. One must then replace the good with supplementation, leaving a net positive gain in the fight against the toxins. For mercury, which is fat soluble, this takes more time, as there is very little of it running in the bloodstream. Most of the body's toxin burden of mercury will be in the fatty tissues, which includes the nerves and brain. They now have a number of treatment possibilities to help chelate out the toxins. I am not a toxicologist, so cannot give the best advice on the subject. It is my understanding, which may be flawed, that oral chelation is less effective (takes much more time) in addressing toxicities than the IV (intravenous) treatments. Blessings, Green Cochoa.

Yes, I researched to see if some toxin had come into play, but if you break the symptoms down, you get the answer....so here they are: Type 1 Diabetes Frequent urination Unusual thirst Extreme hunger Unusual weight loss Extreme fatigue and Irritability Type 2 Diabetes* Any of the type 1 symptoms Frequent infections Blurred vision Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal Tingling/numbness in the hands/feet Recurring skin, gum, or bladder infections *Often people with type 2 diabetes have no symptoms http://www.diabetes.org/diabetes-basics/symptoms/ Yes, you indeed had diabetes. If I'm reading you correctly, you're still suffering from it? I'm sorry you had such an incompetent doctor that for 20 years couldn't figure it out. Diabetes is one of the most common disease and you would think that any diplomed Doctor could recognize the symptoms. My, my, what a shock and a shame. Again, I'm sorry you had to go through that Richard. Here's an extract of a SDA spiritual perspective of Diabetes II and how to reverse it by addressing the source of the problem. What is Diabetes Mellitus? Diabetes Mellitus is a condition known when glucose (a form of sugar) in the blood is not capable to enter the cells. Once the glucose is inside the cell, it is converted into heat and energy. If you look at our body, it is actually a large colony of 50 trillions cells, grouped in different type of tissues making organs, each performing specific distinct task dependant on a constant supply of energy(glucose). Glucose is produced from the food we eat once digested and floats in the blood stream. Without glucose (energy), cells cannot perform their task efficiently and slowly starves, and eventually can die. Thus, diabetics often feel tired and sluggish for the cells have no power supply despite the irony that there is an abundance of glucose in the blood stream. But for some reason, it cannot or only a little succeed to enter the cell. Since, your cells are starving, they convey a hunger message to your brain and you go around always feeling hungry. The excessive thirst is due to the high content of glucose in the blood which the body has to eliminates via frequent urination. These symptoms are early signs of diabetes. Sudden weight loss occurs since the body burns the stored fat in the body because the cell’s inability to use the sugar or glucose designed to be our primary source of energy. Problems with Insulin Receptors Initially it was thought that the pancreas wasn’t producing enough insulin. It is the case for the Juvenile onset disease named Insulin-Dependant Diabetes Melitus (IDDM). However, 95% of the diabetics are Non-Insulin Dependant Diabetes Melitus (NIDDM) which is an adult onset disease due to lifestyle. NIDDM diabetics are producing more insulin than non-diabetics which is the reason they labeled the disease as “Non-Insulin Dependent”. The problem lies with the insulin receptors. These are located on outer wall of the cells and act as a key hole to open a door. The insulin is the key that open the door for the glucose to enter the cell. A cell have a very high number of these insulin receptors each with a corresponding door. However, these insulin receptors, in a diabetic person, have become desensitized and inactive. Desensitized Insulin Receptors: A study conducted on medical student on a very high-fat diet showed within one week that 70% of these students had high enough blood sugar readings to be considered diabetics. A high fat diet desensitizes the insulin receptors by covering it with a fatty film. Inactive Insulin Receptors : New insulin receptors are constantly being produced to replaced worn off under normal usage, or to meet a higher need of energy. These are produced by the activation of the Insulin Receptor gene found in the nucleus of every cells. These genes can produce as many Insulin receptors the cells needs. Our body functions under the law of “NEED” which state, “if you don’t use it, you’ll loose it.” Every gene in our body responds to necessity and meaning. If it looses it’s meaning of existence or if it no longer feels needed by a sedentary and meaningless lifestyle, then the gene will become inactive, defective, or abnormal.
Correcting The Source of the Problem
Our lifestyle conveys a powerful message to our genes. We are designed for motion as testified by our body covered entirely with many layers of muscles. We need to put them in actions with meaningful activities, recreation, useful work and leisure with family and friends. Also we are design to love one another which is essentially the most meaningful message our genes recognizes. We were not created to sit in front of computers and TVs. Taking anti-diabetic drugs are symptomatic fixes and will never cure the condition. As long as you don’t fix the problem, you will always be dependant of these drugs. However, if you start to lower your fat content which will lighten up your blood load, and making available all insulin receptors by freeing them of any fatty film, then your mind and body will be more prone to respond pleasantly to exercise. By sending meaningful messages to your insulin receptor gene by taking a nice walk with your spouse to the park, or working in the garden, or walking to visit a friend in the community adjacent; your genes will be reactivated and will respond to your need by producing more insulin receptors for your cells. Through exercise, your body will require more energy which will emits a “need” signal to your gene. Your gene will get activated by the signal and will manufacture more insulin receptors for your cells.
Meaningful Activities The more meaning and enjoyment your activities becomes, the more powerful the signal is. For example, taking a hike in nature with some friends or your sweet spouse, versus exercising at the gym. The signal from the former will be more powerful than the later. Negative attitude towards exercise, discordance with your spouse, etc.. dulls the signals and your exercise becomes a chore. Repeating this experience will decrease the success of continuing the exercise program. We seek to repeat enjoyable experiences and avoid the negatives ones. So prayers is needed for God to help us change our spirit if we are grunting and missing out in seeing the beauty of nature all around that would add meaning and enjoyment to the moment. Also through prayers God can reconcile relationships and make life for meaningfull and pleasant for all. God wants us to go out in the warm sunshine and see the beauty of His handiwork around us. He has made magnificent hills and mountains that we can explore and climb. Around us are beaches, rivers and lakes where we can splash and frolic. There are many people in our midst who needs our able hands and feet to help them out as they carry life’s heavy load. If we find, meaning and beauty in what we do then the genes in our body will become active and we can say farewell to diabetes and other diseases. A NEWSTART
N : 1. A low fat diet avoiding cholesterol will thin your blood maximizing the sensitivity and availability of your insulin receptors. Also, it will keep nutrient flowing easily for your cells needs. 2. High in fruit, vegetables, and whole grains will increase your fiber content which will maintain a regular glucose availability and provide energy for many hours.
E : 1. Exercise does increase your sensitivity to insulin by allowing your body to use available insulin more efficiently to bring sugar into your cells. 2. It lowers your blood sugar by meeting your energy needs as you use those muscles. As they contract during exercise, they use up sugar for energy, therefore removing it from your blood during and after exercise, which lowers your blood sugar level. 3. Start gradually and do not over exert yourself by damaging your muscles. A gradual but increasing pace will insure a good successful rate. 4. Pray for enjoyable and meaningful opportunities with someone or nature while exercising.
W : Drink lots of water which will give you more endurance during exercise and your daily duties demand. Also, when you have excess glucose levels, your thirst mechanism will be triggered as urination is the only protective mechanism your body has to eliminate it. So help your body by drinking pure water.
S : Sunlight will lift up your mood and regulates hormones.
T : Avoid rich foods high in fats, salts, or sugars. Avoid overeating, and alcohol.
A : Air provides the oxygen which your cell need to produce energy during the metabolism of the glucose. Breath deeply and regularly that fresh air.
R : Regulates hormones. Sleep deprivation causes insulin resistance. Avoid eating 4 hours before bedtime. Early in bed is better than late.
T: Worries, stress, and depression bring decay, disease, and death. God, who cares for the birds and the grass, loves you much more and long to be your friend. He is only a prayer away. He knows you, your condition, and has never left you.
Blessings

The Power of Touch!
This information is from the University of Miami's School of Medicine's Touch Research Institute:
When the parents of diabetic children gave nightly massages to their kids, both parents and children had less anxiety and depression, regulated food and insulin better, and saw the children's blood-glucose levels decrease to the normal range. --Prevention, Feb. 1996.
Comment: This should go along with a careful diet emphasizing fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc. and minimizing fast, junk foods. And don't forget to study, research, read, and pray. Diabetes can be conquered by the grace and help of the Lord! He will help us do our part and do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.

Take 10,000 Steps To Trim Diabetes Risk
Walking, running or jogging a total of 10,000 steps a day--the equivalent of about 5 miles--improves your insulin sensitivity and that can reduce the risk of developing diabetes, according to a repport in the British Medical Journal.
Researchers examined over 550 middle-aged adults and gave them pedometers. They were reevaluated 5 years later. Participants who maintained a higher step count over the study peroid had a lower body mass index, less abeominal fat and better insulin sensitivity.
The researchers concluded than an inactive person who increases walking distance over 5 years to reach a 10,000 step-per-day goal would have a threefold impovement in insulin sensitivy compared with a similar peson who increases his or her steps to only about 3,000 a day. --Los Angeles Times, January 16, 2010.

Diabetes? Eliminate Red Meat!
Want to make a simple, healthy dietary change in 2012? Take your cues from a recent meta-anaylsis of nearly 450,000 men and women, which showed eating one unprocessed red meat serving daily--think a steak or burger--was associated with a 19% increased risk of type 2 diabetes. if you're an avid carnivore and reluctant to ditch red meat entirely, at least be more discerning at your next smorgasbord: The same study showed eating provessed meats like cold cuts, hot dogs, and sausages led to a shocking 51% increased diabetes risk. --Delicious Living, January 2012.

Indeed, diabetes is a major health problem in our country and in our church. This malady (adult-onset diabetes), is irrefutably linked to the "meat and sweets" diet so prevalent today. Researchers have found that when diabetics adhere to a low-fat, high-fiber, complex carbohydrate (vegetarian) diet they are often able to reduce and even eliminate their insulin dosages. Unfortunately, as people around the world incresingly adopt the meat- and sweets-based diets, their incidences of this disease--which can lead to heart disease, gangrene, kidney and eye problems--rise dramatically.
An interesting case history is that of Dr. Albert Schweitzer. At age 75 the brilliant humanitarian, missionary, theologian, musician and physician was successfully treated for life threatening diabetes by Max Gerson, MD. His method of treatment consisted of a total vegetarian diet with plenty of organic vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Schweitzer maintained this diet and was able to return to his African hospital where he won the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize and worked past age 90!
Other research:
A 6-yr study of more than 65,000 women revealed that those who consumed the most sugar and ate the least fiber had two and one half times the risk of developing non-insulin-dependent diabetes. Women who consumed a large amount of fiber from cold breakfast cereals saw a 28% decreased risk of the malady. Foods that caused a significant increased risk: cola beverages, white bread, white rice, and French fries. --Journal of the American Medical Assoc.
Dr. Julian Whitaker's Health and Healing newsletter, Dec. 1994: Only 10 percent of people diagnosed with diabetes have insufficient insulin. 90 percent have "insulin resistance." Here the pancreas produces plenty of insulin, but it doesn't work. It's blocked by a high-fat diet, lack of exercise and obesity, which cause insulin resistance. This same insulin resistance can cause high-blood-pressure...A very low-fat-diet can counter insulin resistance.
The benefits of exercise, especially walking...Diabetes mellitus has been known to disappear in older people with a regular daily program of walking.

Yes, the insulin resistance is nicely illustrated with the following analogy:
Insulin is not the body's chief consumer of blood sugar, but rather the chief messenger to ring the dinner bell for all of the body's cells and tissues to tell them it's time to eat. When insulin runs around in the bloodstream ringing the dinner bell, the cells which need an energy boost each say, "Sure! I'll have some!" ...and they hold out their hands for a good helping of blood sugar. When all the cells have eaten, the levels of blood sugar are reduced to the ordinary nominal amount.
However, in a body that is largely sedentary, the muscles will say "No thanks, I'm still full from the last meal." The other organs and tissues which still have sufficient stores also say "Not this time, thanks." So, the body sends out more messengers (insulin) to persuade the cells to take some by ringing the dinner bell more loudly.
THIS is "insulin resistance." It is when the body ignores the messenger and an increase of insulin is required to produce the same effect.
The simplest rule of thumb in curing diabetes is "calories in, calories out." If you eat it, you need to burn it. If you're not going to use it, don't eat it. Even the smallest increase in waist size (where the extra, "unneeded" calories get stored) increases the risk of diabetes significantly.
On the plus side, for those who may be just entering into the insulin-resistance phase, and perhaps even for some who have developed diabetes (but for those with full-blown diabetes this should only be done under physician supervision), a day of fasting will help to reset the body's system, thus reversing the diabetic trend.
For everyone, 150 minutes of exercise a week is essential for good health. Exercise may be the single most important way of controlling diabetes.
Blessings,
Green Cochoa.
