Well, I hope you have chosen a boy's name too, just in case. There is really only one way to know for sure the gender of the unborn baby, and that is DNA testing by amniocentesis. I know of couples who were told that their baby was definitely, beyond a shadow of a doubt of a certain gender, only to discover just the opposite upon delivery! ------------------ The Lord is the strength of my life and my portion forever.

"Sarah" seems to be the most popular name for babies in my part of the country. ------------------ As the Happy Moments Roll, Pastor Andrew [This message has been edited by A. Marttinen (edited October 25, 2000).]

Angie, Hi & congratulations. As far as nausea try candied ginger pieces. They are hot to chew and swallow but have been researched a lot and found safe enough for ... you guessed it pregnant women. It is usually used on motion sickness but try it for nausea & tell us how it works. ------------------ Edward F. Sutton

Thanks all, for your prayers! I am not having morning sickness anymore. Now, I am having weird food cravings. The main one that I am having is "Kosher Dill Pickles and Chocolate Milk." It sounds really gross at times, but at other times, I just can't live without it! I had it just last night. If it wasn't apparent before, it is now that I'm pregnant. I can't think of anyone who would eat something like that unless they were pregnant! Yes, we've chosen a boy's name in case the tech was wrong. If this one IS a boy, he will be named Caleb Ryan. ------------------ Smile, God is on your side! Angie

Well, I went for an appointment yesterday and so far, I have gained 11 pounds. This is a good thing, because I was slightly overweight (according to the doc) before I got pregnant. I have been having my "practice" contractions at least twice a day, now. Sometimes, if I'm shopping, I have more, but they go away when I sit down or drink something. I've only got about 6 weeks left to go, I think. It's either six or seven weeks. I can't wait! Thanks for praying for me, have a wonderful new year, y'all! ------------------ God bless! Angie

I went for an appointment yesterday, and the doctor I saw told me that I'm measuring large for how far along I am. I'm at 34 weeks, and should be measuring 34 cm, but I'm actually measuring at 38 cm. The doctor said she was going to talk to my midwife and that my midwife might decide to schedule another ultrasound to make sure all is well. I won't know for another two weeks, unless it's a major concern for Katie, my midwife. Please continue to pray for me. Thanks so much! ------------------ God bless! Angie

I went for an appointment yesterday and was told that I'm still measuring 3 cm large. I have to go in on Wednesday to have an ultrasound to find out why she's measuring large. I also found out that there is a slim possibility that I may not be able to have this baby naturally, either. My midwife told me that I seem a bit narrow to allow a baby to bass thru. If this is the case, I will have a scheduled c-section. I really don't want that, but if it's in God's plan, then I can't really argue, can I? Thank you for your continued prayers and please be praying for me when I go in on Wed. My appointment is at 9 am EST. God bless and Happy Sabbath! Angie

Well, all went well with the ultrasound. We are still having a girl and she was about 6# 10oz on Wednesday. I saw the doctor that afternoon and she told me that there is no real reason I'm measuring large (no twins or anything like that) but my amniotic fluid is a bit low, but nothing to worry about. The doctor I saw also said that I shouldn't have a problem delivering naturally. So, I'm pretty happy about that. Also, I had a culture done at my last appointment for the strain of strep that pregnant women can pass on to their babies during labor and delivery, and I tested positive for that. I was told there's nothing to worry about, as long as I have IV antibiotics during labor/delivery. Now, I'm going thru pregnancy blahs. I just want her to come and I don't want to wait any longer. This is the hardest part for me, because with my son, I was late, and I guess I'm just feeling like she's going to be late as well. I hope and pray I can get over these blahs soon! Thanks for your prayers and I'll keep you all updated. ------------------ God bless! Angie

Make sure that you let her know you aren't the only one that wants her to get here, Grammie and Papa are getting a little impatient, too. ------------------ What is popular is not always right. What is right is not always popular.
