I just got off the phone with a friend of mine and she is requesting prayer for her newborn granddaughter. Cayden Stewart was born Friday morning one month premature. Her weight was good, 6 lbs., and she was discharged. However her bilirubin has continued to rise since her release. Because of her prematurity, her liver is probably not able to function as well as it needs to break down the bile in her blood stream, and it is building to dangerous levels. Normal is 12 and today Cayden's had gone to 21. A high bilirubin can cause brain damage. Please pray that Cayden's bilirubin count will drop and that she will suffer no damage.

Grandma Doris has promised to keep me posted on her outcome and progress. This is her oldest son's first child and they were very much looking forward to her birth.

We thank You for Your love, and for the demonstration of Your special love for children when Jesus was here.

We know You can do anything You choose, and we ask that You would intervene in this little childs case.

Satan especially hates those You love, and he seeks to destroy the love for You of these people by attacking this helpless babe.

We ask that You would put a wall of protection around this family, especially Cayden, keep him and his fellow fallen angels from harming them in any way.

We do not know all Your ways, but, we ask that You be glorified in this situation, that the young child may be healed according to Your will.

Guide the doctors and nurses as they work with her, give her family courage and faith to trust You and lean on You for support.

Grandma Doris called with an update this PM. After spending a couple of days in the hospital under the bili lights, Cayden's biliruben had dropped to 12.5. She went home yesterday. She has also started to eat better. Thank the Lord, she is getting better. Keep praying for her as she isn't completely in the clear yet.

The last week of May I got to see little Cayden for the first time. She is healthy and a very happy little girl who adores her big brother.

There nothing happier than seeing our prayers being answered here.
