What DOES MCC stand for?

I think it is medical cadet corp. Something our schools had during the draft years here in the US.

There were a few of those acronyms that I just didn't understand... That was one of them, I have a question about MV and JMV & "Philistine." What in the world??? And, are the "MV & JMV" before my time, too?

Also, about the 3000 calories on a plate at potluck... Didn't you know that any calories consumed on Sabbath don't count? That's what mom always said anyway...

Oh, and I remembered another SDA-ism: If you don't find it odd that a program started 15 minutes late, every week, for a year.

MV, was Missionary Volunteer I think, but to tell the truth is was about before my time as well. JMV was Junior Missionary Volunteer. I think I've heard Philistine used as meaning anyone who is not SDA. It was meant as joke, but was not meant to be rude.
