There are many God fearing SDA websites in cyber space in English & other languages. How can these be used to help facilitate the "great Commission" of Matthew 28:18-20, Isaiah ch 58, Revelation & Daniels mandates and prophecies ?

Could there be enough agreement in spirit & purpose & mission to freely or cheaply share content & possibly assist with each others localized needs ?

What are the possibilities and how do we & they use those possibilities as physical and spiritual assets ?

Now here's a topic I would like to see more action on. I'm just now learning to make web pages. I have talked with Avalee and I know that she has prepared a web page but doesn't have it up yet. I believe that Laurie is working on one and I know that Karen has her hands in web page building. So let's up put our heads together and learn from each other.
  • What programs are you using for page building?
  • What manuals or other printed learnig tools have you or are using to learn?
  • What do you know about server pricing, domain names, free vs. paid web sites?
  • Are you learning HTML? My experience thus far is that even if you are using a webpage building program, you still need knowledge of HTML.

If those of us who are working on web pages would put them up (some are already up) we could reach a few more people.

I have started putting the lessons on health that I wrote on the Health Message forum to get some feedback as I want to post them to the web. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Let's pick each other's brains and learn what we can and get our message of a soon coming Saviour out there in front of the people on the last uncensored media for reaching the world.

Now that's tools and technology for you. While I was trying to edit, Windows and IE did what they do best and really loused up, i.e. froze up, and I had to reboot without knowing what had happened here. When I finally got back in, it had posted a second time and edited.

This is what happens when technology runs amuck!

Did I see "Website" up there? Like, web design? Right up one of my allies of expertise. (Well, fairly knowledgable.)
I use good old fashioned "Frontpage Express" (free, included with IE) for the bulk of my work.
I hand code that which FX does not support (frames, java, etc.)
What I know about free servers is that they are cheap, and you get what you pay for. Geocities is just about the best, and yet, they still have a small advertising banner.
Learning HTML. Well, yes. I don't know it all, I still have to look stuff up.
Any questions comments suggestions need help cries let me know. Now that we're off the "mechanical video shrinkage unicompatable projector dolby 5.1 sound enabled high rez screen video system" subject, I'll be looking in more often.

I need someone to tell me what is going on.

No matter what website building program I use, when I go to the browser to view my work, the text is fine, the graphics don't show. Nada, nothing. I have IE 5.5sp1. It loads graphics find online so why won't it show graphics in saved html documents I do?

I'm reading trying to find an answer. My codes are correct, I have the right graphics formats, they're in the same folder with the other info, so what's going on?

PS Outlook Express stationary gave out a few weeks ago also. It won't load the stationary that came with it, but all the new stationary I have made is fine. Are the two problems related? IS IT THE MICROSOFT--BILL GATES SYNDROME AGAIN?

Linda,

It is the path to the graphics that could be wrong. I know that when I made web pages, I had the graphics in the same folder with the new web page... and then when I made the page, it all worked fine.

When I put them into the folder AFTER making the page... then there was problems becuz the path to the graphics was different.

And since I use Netscape as my main browser, I can't help you on your stationary problem. Sorry

I would like to know, however, when starting a new topic in this forum, how do you get the topic to have the posts showing up down below the reply window, like in here. As I was typing in my reply, there was the rest of the posts down below... how does one set that when making a new topic??

I'll get it sent Jason. Been busy. Thanks for offering.

I did notice something this PM. If I open some .htm docs in WP, it will open the grapics, even if the doc was made in a different program. In fact no one program nor the browser will open everything completely. It's just weird. Maybe you can figure out something. I'll send the graphics and the htm docs.

How does the idea sound ? All the MSDAOL folks here that are web site builders (having built at least 1), act as mentors and tutors and teach website building for fellow MSDAOL members. Use the Tools and Technology forum as a bas to work from as it gets closed on sacred time & reopened on secular time. It is ascessable by MSDAOL members.

What do you thing, oh digital scribes. Will you consider a digital classroom teaching us our A,B,C's over HTML & JAVA. ???????

Jason, have you had an opportunity to look at the files I sent and see if you could figure out anything, or did you get them?
