I also just heard that 3ABN is trying to get on cable TV in Canada, however, CRTC (Canadian Radio & TV Commission) told them that they must have Canadian content in order for that to happen, therefore, 3ABN is planning to have a media production center in Canada to produce programs within Canada and then apply again for a license from to have 3ABN telecast within Canada.

Why doesn't the CRTC allow 3ABN to be on cable within Canada, when they allow American networks such as ABC, NBC, and CBS to have be on cable within Canada? If anybody can answer this question, I would be most interested.
